Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that are custom-made specifically for your teeth. As you replace each aligner every two weeks, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week, gradually moving towards the projected final position.
Invisalign uses gentle light forces. Surfaces in contact with lips and gums are smooth so that discomfort and rubbing is not an issue.
Fixed braces can only be removed by trained professionals – this can hinder your ability to clean your teeth and gums effectively, and may limit what you can eat comfortably.
Because Invisalign aligners can be removed at any time during treatment, you can eat whatever you want, maintain good oral hygiene, and choose to remove them briefly for special occasions such as weddings or big meetings.
Invisalign aligners are very discreet and most people won't know you wearing them.
Before a treatment plan can be created, an impression of your teeth and photographs are taken to check whether they can be straightened using the Invisalign System. A detailed treatment plan will then be developed using ClinCheck, a virtual 3D treatment plan. ClinCheck shows the series of movements your teeth are projected to go through over the course of the treatment – so you can see how your teeth are expected to look at the end of your Invisalign treatment before it even begins, and estimate how long treatment might take.
During this time you will have occasional check-ups with your Invisalign Provider in order to monitor your progress and ensure you are comfortable with the treatment
The time it takes to complete the treatment varies from person to person, depending on the complexity of each straightening issue. Whatever your goals for treatment are, your Invisalign Provider will always give you a clearly defined Treatment Plan.
