Dear Patients and Friends of the practice,
Many of you have called us this morning as you are concerned about your access to dental care during the lockdown. As we head into the lockdown, we want to reassure all our patients that we are still here for you. Jo Churchill MP, the Dental Minister, has confirmed that dentists and dentistry will remain open during the four-week lockdown.
We have robust systems in place to protect you when you visit us at the practice. These include pre-treatment screening for Covid 19, triage stations once you arrive, one-way systems in the practice to allow for social distancing at all times and screens at reception. All surfaces are cleaned at frequent intervals. We have full PPE available for all scenarios and stringent cross infection control procedures in place. The practice has a state-of-the-art decontamination room for all instruments. Our team have always been trained to a very high standard in infection control and have performed magnificently with all the extra demands placed on them by the current situation. Your wellbeing is and always has been our utmost priority. Please click on the link below for information on our patient journey.
It has been recognised that good dental health is essential for good general health so routine care will continue. In addition, we will be able to see you for emergency treatment. If you are vulnerable and in need of dental care, please contact us and one of the clinical team will talk you through your options. See our latest newsletter below for further information on the link between dental and general health.
Please do not feel that you should not attend and suffer dental pain, or that your problem is trivial. We are always very happy to help you in any way that we can. Telephone or video consultations are also possible. Remember that if our phone lines are busy, you can email us at email@example.com. These emails are checked at regular intervals throughout the day.
We are very grateful as always for all of your kind messages of support and we wish you and your families to stay safe and well.
