Composite fillings are made from a tooth-coloured resin that bonds directly to your tooth for a strong, secure hold. Unlike traditional metal fillings, they blend seamlessly with your natural smile and require less removal of healthy tooth structure.

Natural Appearance:

Tooth-coloured resin matches your natural shade for a discreet finish.

Amalgam-Free:

Every filling we place is free from metal, ensuring a natural appearance and safe, biocompatible result.

your journey to natural looking protection starts here

Replacing or placing a composite filling is a straightforward procedure carried out under local anaesthetic to ensure comfort.

If replacing a metal filling, the old material is carefully removed along with any decay, before a tooth coloured resin is placed and shaped to restore the tooth. A special light hardens the filling in seconds, leaving a natural looking and functional result.

Because composite bonds directly to the tooth, less drilling is required compared to metal fillings. This makes treatment more conservative and protective of your natural tooth structure. Patients leave their appointment with a healthier smile that looks and feels completely natural.

Composite Fillings FAQs

Are composite fillings safe?

Yes. Composite fillings are widely used and completely safe. They bond directly to the tooth for strength and stability.

Can I replace my silver fillings with white ones?

Absolutely. Old amalgam fillings can be safely removed and replaced with tooth coloured resin for a natural look. We are an amalgam free practice.

How long do composite fillings last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, composite fillings last many years. Your dentist will review them during routine appointments and advise if they ever need to be replaced.
